Bridges, Dentures and Implants Newcastle

Teeth Bridges

When one or more teeth are missing, the remaining teeth can drift out of position, which can lead to a change in the bite, the loss of additional teeth, decay and gum disease.

When tooth loss occurs, we may recommend the placement of a bridge. Designed to replace missing teeth and support surrounding teeth, a bridge is a grouping of interconnected crowns. Held in place by two crowns, a bridge can reduce the risk of gum disease, help correct bite issues and even improve speech.

Dental Implants

In the past the main solution to replace missing teeth has been to wear dentures, but this is not the only possibility. Implants can be used to replace single or multiple teeth, as well as to retain dentures. They are unique in designand can fit into small spaces and also where the bore is limited in both height and width.

Implant treatment normally has two stages. First, the implant is placed in the jaw. Then, when the jaw has healed, replacement teeth are attached to the implant. In some situations it is possible for temporary teeth to be attached to an implant at the time of fitting.

Would implants be right for me?

First, you should decide whether implants could be right for you. Contact us to arrange an implant consultation and discussion and we will let you know the possibilities. Our team will be only too happy to help you with any questions you may have.

At DentiCentre, our dentures will restore your beautiful smile and confidence. Replacing lost or missing teeth has substantial benefits for your health and appearance. A complete or full denture replaces the natural teeth and provides support for cheeks and lips. Without this support, sagging facial muscles can make a person appear older and reduce their ability to eat and speak.

Bridges

Sometimes teeth are lost. The adjacent teeth are prepared. A Bridge is made which exactly matchs the space and is fitted across the gap.

Adhesive Bridge

An adhesive bridge is non destructive. A bridge is prepared and 'stuck' to the inside of the adjacent tooth.

Fibre Bridge

Sometimes the most sensitive way to fill a gap is to utilise fillings that already exist in adjacent teeth. These fillings are removed and matching 'wings' attached to the bridge which fit into the spaces.
