Dr Shabin Chohan

Dr Shabin Chohan is very passionate about his dentistry and really enjoys the technical aspects of high-quality dentistry. His areas of special interest are Cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and teeth straightening. His belief is that we should always be learning and improving. He mixes a great amount of experience with youthful excitement and has a great ability to communicate well with both patients and his younger colleagues . He graduated from Newcastle Dental School in 1995 ( Bachelor in Dental Surgery) and has over 27 years of general dental experience. He is very passionate about his dentistry and is a real believer in high-quality general and cosmetic dentistry. He has a PgCert in Orthodontics from Warwick University( 2020) and a PG Cert in Dental Implants also from Warwick University (2014).
He also has a professional qualification in medical education and has trained many young dentists over the last 20 years in the structured Foundation Dentistry programme and helped them develop into talented dentists. He has used his great communication skills to educate, mentor and develop others. He has a professional Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Lancashire (2009).
He has previously worked in a specialist orthodontist clinic in Newcastle for 2 years to develop his orthodontic skills.
He has worked in Newcastle as a purely private dental practitioner for the last 9 years. He predominately sees a small number of private patients for their routine dental care and accepts referrals for cosmetic makeovers; dental implants and orthodontic teeth straightening.

Dr Matt Kettley

Matt graduated from The University of Sheffield in 2016. After completing a year as a Senior House Officer in The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department of The Royal Victoria Infirmary, Matt has worked in general practice treating many patients and their families. Matt has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry with The Aspire Dental Academy in London to further his skills, and strives for excellence in his work. He loves providing comprehensive solutions for people’s teeth – making them look great and function well.

In his spare time Matt plays hockey and football. His other interests include music, cookery, computing and travel.

Dr Ahmed Dagher

BDS (Hons) AKC

Ahmed studied at Kings College London Dental Institute where he graduated with first class honours. After completing his degree he moved back to Newcastle to start working at The Dental Care Clinic in Westerhope. Ahmed has since been on multiple courses to further expand his skills in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Ahmed enjoys all aspects of dentistry especially carrying out cosmetic composite and ceramic restorations and making cosmetic dentures. He is passionate about providing the highest quality of treatment as shown in his clinical portfolio available on his website drahmeddagher.com
Outside of work he enjoys reading, hiking and travelling.

Dr Alex Walker

Bachelor in dental surgery (2007)

Alex graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2007. He has worked in general practice for 13 years providing a range or routine and cosmetic treatments, with a special interest in tooth alignment using the Cfast system.

In his spare time, Alex is a keen runner for local club Ponteland runners and enjoys travelling to France with his family during the holidays.

Dr Jacqueline Callear

Dr Jacqueline Callear graduated with Honors from the University of Leeds in 2012. During her medical degree, she completed an intercalated Anatomy Degree, focused on advanced anatomy of the head and neck. She gained a First-Class Honors degree and was awarded the Edward Ward Surgical Anatomy Prize. She later published her research in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. For over a decade, since leaving university, she has enjoyed a rich and varied career working as an NHS doctor. She has worked in many medical and surgical departments. She developed an interest in Plastic Surgery and was fortunate to gain a coveted National Training number. Her experience whilst working as a plastic surgery registrar allowed her to develop an interest in restorative and aesthetic surgical techniques. Marriage and two young children led Jacqueline to re-evaluate her life priorities leading to a new career direction in General Practice. Whilst Jacqueline completes her ongoing medical training, she has re-ignited her passion for aesthetics by attending and completing well-renowned courses at The Bob Khanna Training Institute in Reading. Jacqueline currently offers anti-wrinkle treatments and lip fillers. Aside from facial aesthetics, Jacqueline is passionate about reducing the impact of hyperhidrosis, and excessive sweating, by using toxin treatments.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring new places and developing new skills. We are currently learning french as a family with the hope that the children will become bilingual.

Dr Charlotte Hall

BDS, MFDS RCPS (Glasg)

Charlotte graduated from Newcastle University in 2018. She spent time working in community dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery before joining the team at The Dental Care Clinic. She enjoys working with the team to provide good quality care, in a friendly and relaxing environment, for patients and families. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as hiking, running and playing tennis.

Dr Nabila Hannan

BDS (Hons)

Nabila graduated from Kings College London with first class honors. Since moving to Newcastle, she has expanded her skills in many aspects of general dentistry. She is particularly interested in providing cosmetic dentistry such as tooth whitening and composite bonding. Nabila enjoys working with the team to provide high quality care for all her patients and families. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Dr Santwana Thakur

Santwana has a passion for connecting with people and helping them with their dental healthcare needs. She has had her license to practice dentistry in UK since 2011 and is an experienced general dentist. She really enjoys looking after families and treating children especially. She has looked after the dental needs of many families since she joined The Dental Care Clinic in 2014.
She is good at putting people at ease, especially children, who can be nervous about seeing a dentist.
Santwana likes growing veggies in a local allotment; cooking exotic dishes to share with friends and family. Otherwise, she is found busy at work helping treat the dental needs of our local community.

Mrs Keeley Ross

Keeley started her career as a trainee dental nurse in Manchester in 1991 and qualified as a dental nurse in 1993, she worked for 7 years in this role before moving to Newcastle in 2000 to study Dental Hygiene st Newcastle Dental Hospital.
Whilst working as a hygienist in an Orthodontic practice Keeley developed an interest in this field of dentistry and qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist from Manchester Dental Hospital in 2011 and has worked in both general and orthodontic practices across the North East.

Dr Saief Mahmoud

Dr Saief has always been passionate about aesthetics and technology, with a special interest in creating naturally looking smiles. He is multilingual, speaking 3 languages: English, Spanish and Arabic. He wishes to provide the best and most up to date treatment to his patients in dentistry and Facial Aesthetics. He is currently attending Kings College London to complete his MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry.

Dr Mohammad Imtiyaz Ahmed

Mohammad has had his license to practice dentistry in the UK since 2015 and is an experienced general dentist. He has continued his education throughout his career and acquired Post graduate certificate in Endodontics from the University of Chester.

Mohammad joined The Dental care clinic in 2016. He is proficient in delivering exceptional dental care to his patients and prides himself on his work with nervous patients and children. He enjoys carrying out a wide range of procedures, including cosmetic fillings, root canal treatment, ceramic onlays and crowns and removable prosthetics (Dentures).

Away from dentistry, Mohammad is married, loves food and enjoys keeping active.
